The Opportunity
A global engineering and environmental consultancy is looking for an Associate Director to act as their ecology lead on high-profile Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) across energy, water, renewables, defence and transport. This is a senior leadership role with significant client visibility and strategic responsibility.
The Role
- Lead ecological inputs on DCO projects across multiple sectors as the senior technical expert
- Attend and lead at DCO examinations, representing the organisation and clients
- Oversee and quality assure ecological chapters, Habitats Regulations Assessments and supporting documents
- Build and maintain senior client relationships and support business development
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and line management to the ecology team
About You
- Degree in Ecology or a related environmental discipline
- Significant experience at Principal or Associate Director level within a consultancy
- DCO examination experience highly desirable
- Full CIEEM membership — required
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
